The International Science Steering Group (ISSG) is divided into ASOF-EAST and ASOF-WEST to reflect the sources of their funding.

The 6 main regional tasks cover all of the main ocean fluxes that connect the Arctic Ocean to North Atlantic. The 7th modeling task provide the necessary link between the regional tasks.
